Hope your birthday, was extra special, because you are a sweet and exceptional guy! Hope your birthday exceeded all of your expectations!
Well, the ‘ol homestead, on Hazelwood got sold, don’t know who owns it now, don’t want to know, but it was sold in 2019, My mother is still having health issues, a few short years ago, she broke her hip, but is doing ok now. She has vision problems now, I won’t say what kind, but she sees the ophthalmologist frequently for treatment. I am still living on Birchman, in the gated community, and my house is looking pretty good. Guess that is it for now.
I remembered Susan back from Stripling, then at Heights. I even attended a birthday party, over in. Crestwood with her. We had a falling out, or she did with me, before we went to Heights, forgot what it was about, but I am proud of her, joining the services, and fighting for our country. It was sad when she lost her first husband, but I am glad she found love the second time around. I think her childhood home was on Owassa Street, or close to it, she had a brother, Steve, and a sister, Carolyn. Wish we could have cleared up the misunderstanding or falling out, sure do miss her, she was quite the seamstress too!
Mark was the sweetest guy you would ever meet! He was always nice and had a good disposition, and always something good to say about everybody. I did not get to be with him as often as I could, back at school, we were in a lot of different classes since his last name started with an M, and mine an A, but after Heights, we would try to get together at the reunions to catch up on what we were doing. Mark’s passing was a terrible shock and blow, but I know God and Jesus are taking very good care of him, in heaven. The 50th reunion isn’t going to be the same, but Mark will always be in our hearts and on our minds.
Hi Deborah, hope your birthday, on July 2nd, is as special as you are! Hope to see you at the Heights 50th anniversary! Love and good wishes always, Nancy K. Altaras
So sad to lose this incredible lady, May we never forget all the beauty she has brought, and also the helping of others.
Sad to see another Heightster passing away. Interesting he was in Myrtle Beach, wish he was back in Texas, alive! I know God and Jesus have a plan we don’t see, but our fiftieth reunion will be a little sadder of the ones who have gone on to the big reunion, in the sky. You will be missed, Michael, but never forgotten. Sincerely, Nancy K. Altaras
